Secondary Care (First Aid).

What is it?

Secondary Care (First Aid) is the care that an emergency responder would provide to a casualty after their life line is confirmed and secure. In basic term this means handling bleeding, fractures and other non-life threatening injuries and illnesses.

What do you do?

The Secondary Care (First Aid) course will teach participants how to perform secondary assessment of a casualty, treat non-life threatening injuries and illnesses.

How long does it last?

Typically the course can last 4 – 6 hours, based on a mixture of participant self study and instructor lead role playing scenarios.

How much does it cost?

EFR Secondary Care cost £40 per participant.

What other requirements are there?

To attend a Secondary Care (First Aid) course participants are required to be a certified Primary Care(CPR) emergency responders.

What do I need to bring?

All course materials and training aids are provided as part of the course, however a note book and relaxed clothing are advisable.
